Counseling & Sport Psychology

Increase your well-being

In a society that prizes individualism, productivity, perfectionism and staying busy, it’s easy to feel self-critical, anxious and disconnected from others and what you really care about. Yet, it is possible to experience a greater sense of security, connection and meaning in your life and relationships. Through a warm and supportive therapist-client relationship and a variety of evidence-based tools, I’ll help you find your way towards greater happiness, calm and meaning.

Nurture your health

Are you living with chronic illness or pain? Navigating the many emotional, social and logistical challenges that come with it can be overwhelming. On the other hand, maybe you’re struggling to develop the habits needed to prevent future health problems, and it’s an uphill battle. You’re not alone – I can help. Work with me to get support and learn skills that can help you be well.

Thrive through change

As human beings, we’re constantly tasked with adjusting to new circumstances. Be it a transition to college, career-related loss or gain, divorce, or a loved one’s death, it can be hard to navigate alone. I’ll support you through this difficult time, and help you gain new skills that build resilience and support well-being.

Perform your best

Are you struggling to reach your full performance potential? The stressors of elite performance environments (e.g., challenging team or coach dynamics, pressure to perform, injuries, balancing athletic and academic demands) can make it hard to be at your best. Yet, you can perform and be well amidst these pressures – for example, by nurturing self-confidence, staying mentally present when it matters most, and being compassionate with yourself when the going gets rough. Work with me to develop the mental skills needed to reach your full performance potential, and experience greater enjoyment in sport and life.

Golf psychology

I work with golfers of all skill levels to help them improve performance and fully enjoy the game. I help coaches and golf parents learn how to best support their golfer(s). As a former NCAA division I golfer who continues to compete locally and nationally, I bring golf-specific knowledge along with general expertise in counseling and sport psychology. Work with me to develop your mental edge through mental training, as well as address other challenges you may be facing such as:

· Low confidence

· Stress related to getting a college scholarship

· Dealing with difficult relationships (e.g., coaches)

· Dealing with racial and gender-based microaggressions and advocating for yourself

· Keeping a healthy perspective

· Retiring from golf

I provide on-course support, caddy in events, work with players on retainer during competitive seasons, contract with teams, and more.
